“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” — Mahatma Gandhi

Community Champions are a huge part of how we collect donations and maintain supply levels for our clients. We are so grateful for our community – you truly make a huge impact on the lives of the families we help!

We want to introduce you to some of our Community Champions;

Meet Tina; she is the BabyGoRound Community Champion that lives in White Rock. Tina is a savvy business woman with a few businesses in home design and real estate. Tina was looking for something to do with her baby gear and BabyGoRound truly spoke to her heart. Tina also runs a non profit called 100 Women of Fraser Valley, they are always looking to grow and have involvement from the community!

Meet Natasha; our BabyGoRound Community Champion of Maple Ridge. Natasha works with a professional congress organizer called MCI Group Canada. She currently travels around the world with incredible clients making a positive impact. Natasha began working with BabyGoRound after the birth of her son. She was blown away by the mom community and realized it takes a village to raise a child. “Being a Community Champion is a constant reminder of both the good that exists and the fact that there are so many people that truly are in need – connecting those two and helping by the simple collection and delivery of items is an incredible thing to be part of. It takes so little!”

Meet Georgia; She is the Community Champion for Queensborough, New Westminster. She was drawn to BabyGoRound after becoming a mom. She is a middle school teacher and a mother of two boys! “ Being a new mom can be challenging, even in the best of circumstances. I wanted to help other parents who don’t have the same privileges that many of us have and do my small part to make the transition to parenthood easier for them.”

Meet Alena; She is our Community Champion for Murrayville, Langley.  She is an art historian, teaching at Langara College and KPU. She also has two daughters! Alena was drawn to BabyGoRound during her maternity leave with her second daughter. “I volunteered with BabyGoRound last summer while I was on maternity leave.  Looking back now, I think I had postpartum depression. I love my daughters very much, but it wasn’t easy for me to stay at home with them. I missed working, having goals and being productive. Being a new mom is hard and it is harder if you are worrying about necessities for your children.  Volunteering at BabyGoRound made me feel like I was contributing to something larger and still making the most out of the time with my girls.”

It is because of volunteers and Community Champions it because of them, we are able to do what we do! If you are interested in becoming a Community Champion please email us at [email protected] . We would love to have you as part of the team!
